Is MoraHealth free? What you get in a free health records app
Keeping health records in MoraHealth is free and unlimited. The free plan, and the monthly report upload and AI summary allowances, explained.

Yes, MoraHealth is free: keeping your health records is unlimited, and no credit card is needed. Only two things have a monthly allowance: report uploads and AI summaries. This post explains what is unlimited on the free plan, why the limits exist, and what you can do when your allowance runs out.

The report upload allowance#
When you upload a lab, radiology or pathology report, the details are read automatically. Since that has a cost, the free plan lets you upload 5 reports a month.
- 10 a month for the first 30 days: new accounts get twice the allowance so you can bring in the reports you already have.
- One shared pool: lab, radiology and pathology use the same allowance.
- One per file: if you upload several files at once, each file counts as one.
- Files that could not be read don't count: only files read successfully use your allowance.
Which reports you can upload, in which formats, is covered in Which reports can I upload?
The AI summary allowance#
You can ask for a plain-language summary of a report you uploaded; the free plan includes 2 summaries a month. What the summary looks at, and what it does not do, is in What does MoraHealth's AI summary analyze, and what not?
What happens when the allowance runs out?#
None of your records are affected; you just can't upload a new report or ask for a new summary that month. In the meantime:
- Enter a report's details yourself with Add Record Manually; manual entry is unlimited and does not use your allowance.
- Keep adding all your other records (medications, appointments, readings…).
- Your allowance renews every month.
You can see how much you have used this month on the My Usage Limits page.
Why are there limits?#
Keeping records costs little, so it is unlimited. Reading a report and preparing a summary cost something every time. The monthly allowances keep MoraHealth free and prevent abuse.
Is a Premium plan coming?#
A Premium plan with higher report upload and summary allowances is coming soon. Even if the service offers a paid option in the future, access to your data and the ability to download it stay free; that is a commitment in the Membership Agreement and Privacy Notice. If the limits change, you are told in advance.
How to get started#
Sign up for free, create your profile and upload your first report. Remember that you have 10 uploads during your first 30 days to bring in your older reports.
